Vampires have Virtues?
Robert M Place and Coventry Creations unlock the Virtues of the Dark Side

It is true, there are Seven Vampire Virtues and if anyone knows about them it is Robert M. Place, artist and author of The Vampire Tarot, published by St Martin’s Press in 2009. Place based his tarot on the legends and iconographic figures of Brahm Stoker’s Dracula . With the Vampire Virtue Candles, Place has taken the lessons of the Dracula characters and translated them into virtues we can use in our 21st century world. This new line of candles boasts 7 Virtuous vampires and is 2” wide by 7.5” high with a 50+ hour burn time.
Robert Place’s Vampires inspired Coventry to carefully chose the blend of oils and color to enhance the magic of each Virtue. The quality, vibrancy and integrity of Coventry Candles were the perfect match to Robert M Place’s clear and vibrant award winning artistic style. The result is a line of candles that appeals to all the senses and bring healing to all the levels of the self; including the darker, shadow side. The dark side of the self is often rejected as negative or "not of God", but in actuality, the dark side of the self is where we learn to overcome adversity and find strength. Stoker and Place show this through Mina’s journey into the dark side lead by Dracula; by embracing the dark she was able to help defeat it.

“We have been fielding requests for a line of Vampire candles for years, but until we spoke with Robert M Place, the healing and empowering properties of the Vampire legacy had not been clear”, said Jacki Smith, President of Coventry Creations. Patty Shaw, VP and Coventry Candle Goddess, states “If we bravely go into the shadow self and look beyond the behavior we will find the story of why and what. The why is about the event or trauma that happened to create the shadow and the “what” is the personal power that is let go of to cope with the trauma.” Jacki and Patty also talk about how the creation of the Vampire Virtue candles has been a deep learning experience for them too. Be prepared for your vision to be widened as your courage to face your own dark side is expanded. Robert M Place states on the label that, “…the literary vampire represents the face of the unconscious that Jung calls the Anima or Animus. This archetype first appears filled with shadow material. As the shadow is integrated, however, it evolves spiritually and carries us with it and we come into our full potential."
