Fill Your Shelves!

 

In September, if you haven’t stocked up for the holidays, you are running a bit late! I know the economic indicators are saying bad things about our upcoming season, but I don’t believe them all. What are we going to do, have ½ full shelves? We all know an empty store during the holidays is the kiss of death.

I say, fill your shelves, market the hell out of yourself, break all the rules and bring your customers in every way possible. Make your store the place to be energetically, aesthically and spiritually.

I say, pull out all the stops this season and make your store the holiday shopping experience. Think about your best shopping experience – the most fun you had handing over your money to someone else. Think about how you felt in that moment and what inspired you to stay and spend there. Now take that feeling and write it down trying to capture the emotions and triggers you experienced there.

Do you think you could create that in your store? Do you think that with a shoestring budget you could create a similar feeling? Could you have a holiday decorating party? Could you insight the feelings you had on your best shopping experience in your customer? This formula is how you make it the best and most profitable shopping season ever!

Stock your shelves, market like your life depends upon it, break the roles of convention and make everyone fall in love with your store - a simple plan to say the least.
